Case · Heatnet Global
Two clear ways in for an international heating network
Heatnet Global connects the value chain for low-carbon heating and cooling across 20 markets. Its two priority visitor journeys are joining the network and finding training. The old website made both routes hard to find, leaving prospective members and training participants without a clear next step. The redesign brings both actions onto the first screen.

Membership and training sit side by side in the hero, giving both visitor groups a direct next step. The globe shows the network’s reach: Europe as the focus region, Canada, the US and India as expansion markets.
What changed
| Before | After | |
|---|---|---|
| Navigation | Nine menu items and a log-in button, with no order of importance. | Seven numbered sections, from About Us to Contacts. |
| Next step | The start page opened with a slogan and no clear action. | Two buttons on the first screen: Become a member and Find training. |
| The network | '20 markets' was a sentence in the text. | A rotating globe on the first screen, and an interactive map of the eight stakeholder groups that make up the network. |
| Joining | The Joining the Network page in the menu was empty. | Membership details and an application form on the site, plus a contact form for the helpline and course questions. |
| Content | Years of good material, spread across many pages. | All of it kept and reorganised – 20 pages, nothing rewritten without the client's review. |
The design is an atlas – numbered plates, legends and maps in Heatnet's own reds – because the client's story is geography: one network, many markets. I handle ongoing updates through monthly care, so the team can send changes directly to me.

After launch
This page will be updated with what the new site changed for Heatnet once it has been live for a few months – membership enquiries and training sign-ups, if the client agrees to share them.
